I hate Dell

Dell, as a company, can suck it and choke on it.

They build the worst designed, least upgradeable, fastest at falling apart, barely able to run Windows PCs I’ve ever seen.

Alright, so let’s start off with the design of those “cases”

• There is almost NO airflow, leading to overheating and massive dust collection (No flow means the dust gets sucked in but not enough strength to move it out)
• Only 2 fans in the ENTIRE case. That’s right the CPU doesn’t get a dedicated fan. There’s just one weak ass fan in the PSU and a weak ass ALWAYS failing fan in the back of the case.
• They don’t adhere to any industry standards. Wanna swap all those parts into a different case? Good luck. How about replacing stuff while using the old case? Again, good luck

Upgrades, geez. If the PSU could power a second hard drive I’ll be amazed. They pick the cheapest parts from some unknown company and slap it together. “Does it boot?”, “Yeah”, “Does Windows start up?”, “Barely”, “Okay, that’s good enough, ship ‘em out!”

They barely supply enough RAM to keep Windows happy, let alone do the things many people want to do. Minor photo editing, heavy chatting, office work, and little flash games are things the standard Dell units can BARELY do. Don’t even think about doing any more than 2 things at the same time.

I see so many Dells fly through my shop: Hard drive failures, PSU failures, motherboard failures, overheating due to fan failure, expired and inactive virus protection (They don’t tell them it’s a trial!), and tons of extra junk software people can’t use cause it’s trial version too! And before anyone says anything, these are machines that aren’t even 2 years old that I’m talking about.

And let’s not forget the lack of CDs they give you. Sure you get Windows recovery CDs, and Dell driver CDs. But I have yet to see a Dell come with the CD containing MS Office that the person THOUGHT they purchased. Gotta wipe out/replace your hard drive? Say goodbye to MS Word, and calling Dell will get you NOTHING.

If they just built real standard adhering PCs with NAME brand parts, full retail versions of software, and good anti virus (Stop sucking Symantec’s dick, Norton sucked after they sold out!) I wouldn’t see so many.
