No this isn’t about MP3s or movies, that’s a completely different can of worms.
This is about pictures and those fucking kiosks in every damn store.
I work in a place that has a kiosk where you can scan and print your own photos.
Every now and then I see copyrighted works being scanned or printed. So I politely inform the customer I cannot sell/print the item because it’s covered under copyright.

Since blogging my personal life isn’t going anywhere (It would be the same shit every day anyway). I’ve decided to shift focus on my knowledgebase. I figure if I do anything for the web it will be to pour out my brain in hopes of making the net a tiny bit better, faster, and safer.
Ug, been ages since even I visited my site. Been so busy switching jobs and managing my guild. However now my job switch is done, and I’ve disbanded my guild so we can all more to greener pastures! It’s actually working out very well.
Just gimmie a little more time and you’ll see new content!

Here we go. another person immersing themselves into technology when I’m sure a toaster confuses them.
This guy who’s apparently rich as fuck and doesn’t care buys some laptops for is kids. Their ages? 11 and 14. The price of each laptop? Over $1,800, each. Read More…
Dell, as a company, can suck it and choke on it.
They build the worst designed, least upgradeable, fastest at falling apart, barely able to run Windows PCs I’ve ever seen.
This rant is gonna be huge, so read the full article

That’s the same phrase I hear every, fucking, day.
Customers bring in massively infected PCs, I ask them what kinds of sites they visit, and here are the more common answers:
- Kids sites
- Banking
- News
- Games
Now I know there’s always ONE important type of site they omit: PORN
If you wanna see porn, go for it, but don’t search for “FREE PORN OMG”. Just, fucking, pay for it. There are TONS of porn site networks out there, choose one, pay up, and fap away. meanwhile, they hold themselves to a nice little standard and your infection rate DROPS drastically.
The other source of infections? Clicking on every single thing they can. You don’t have to click to live!
I know that site hasn’t moved in almost a month. Been burning out at work, and I’m also stuck working several weekends.
I’m getting some free time soon so I’ll invest some of it here!
This is a common issue I see when people who don’t know (or don’t want to know) anything about their computer.
If you can’t get something to work, or it’s not working properly, ASK. Don’t do the following:
- Take a screwdriver, hammer, or other tool to it
- Cry it doesn’t work when you haven’t even tried reading the manual
- Throw out the manual
- Get mad at the person who sold you the device or the people who made the device because you’re stupid/lazy
Now, to help everyone out, PLEASE do the following:
- RTFM, Read the FUCKING manual. 9 times outta ten all your questions are answered there
- Apply common sense, a printer won’t work until it’s properly installed
- ASK, please, just ask a professional for help, don’t bitch, don’t cry, don’t get mad.
By doing the lost art of asking, you not only educate yourself a little bit, but you also assist those around you getting your issues resolved faster. Don’t be a dick.
Wow, Hollywood is REALLY stretching for ideas. Now they’ve taken a wonderful cartoon, bent it over, and fucked it hard. Live action crap for a cartoon? Maybe CG, but it would be almost impossible to pull it off right.
For the love of GOD we need ORIGINALITY in the movies! It’s all remakes and ripoffs, KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF!
So there was Windows XP, freshly released, and everyone hated it. “My 8 year old hardware doesn’t work!” “My 8 year old DOS programs don’t work!” “It needs too much memory!”. Well IMO, Windows XP was the best OS Microsoft put out to date, followed CLOSELY, by Vista. Now Vista was shaping up to be an intense upgrade from Windows XP, so Microsoft took it’s time. Problem is businesses and a large chunk of the community (including average consumers) wanted an upgrade after only a few years of XP. What the fuck was wrong with XP? It runs like a dream, it works with a lot of hardware, much more secure than 9x/ME could ever be, and when it did fail, it was much easier to recover from. So people bitch moan and complain and MS says ‘Okay, but we’ll have to cut some features’. Well MS starts cutting features, people cry about that, but STILL want it NOW. MS finally releases it and everyone hates it. Piece of shit Dells and HPs from 2001 ain’t gonna run Vista, and I couldn’t be happier. So many people treat their computers like crap yet they claim to rely on them to live. Vista doesn’t play nice with a lot of older software, GOOD, I’m sick of people grasping onto old copies of EZ CD Creator that don’t even work anymore!
XP could’ve lived another 3 years no problem. But people had to cry piss and moan til they got the “next big thing”. Well now you got it, you hate it, and it’s probably your fault. Don’t blame Vista cause customers pushed for it. Don’t blame Vista cause your hunk of junk can barely run solitaire.
Now I’m no MS fanboy, or even a Vista fanboy. But Vista is a step in the right direction for home users regarding ease of use (after they fix UAC) and security.
